Chaiwa upbeat about Chipolopolo performance

By Chansa Kunda
Chipolopolo Defender MIGUEL CHAIWA says the team will be in better shape during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers slated for June 2024.

CHAIWA says this is because the squad has made tremendous progress and amends on mistakes recorded at the Africa Cup of Nations -AFCON- tournament earlier this year.

He says this is evident by the team’s performance at the just ended four nations tournament in Malawi which saw Zambia finish in third position.

CHAIWA further says the players have been giving their best in every preparation and are yielding to the instructions of the AVRAM GRANT led technical bench.

The Switzerland based player was speaking after the conclusion of the tournament.

And Midfielder OBINO CHISALA described his first call up to the senior national team as a dream come true.

CHISALA said the Malawi outing is a huge boost to his career as he has a chance to be mentored by some of the senior national team players.

The ZANACO  football club midfielder has since urged Zambians to continue supporting the team as they will deliver the desired results.
