NHIMA back to Ministry of Health

The National Health Scheme Authority -NHIMA- has been taken back to the Ministry of Health.

Health Permanent Secretary, KENNEDY LISHIMPI says the decision comes after several deliberations at Cabinet Office.

Dr LISHIMPI says the Ministry is currently working on reversing the gazette notice, which took NHIMA to the Ministry of Labour , thereafter a second gazette notice will be issued.

He adds that during the transferring process, a number of issues are being looked at to enhance service delivery and other aspects will be implemented.
