11m Malaria Cases recorded in 2023

ZAMBIA recorded over 11 million malaria cases in 2023 as compared to 8.1 million in 2022.

And, National Malaria Centre, Assistant Director SAMPA OTIONO says the centre targets to spray over 920,000 households this year.

In an interview with ZNBC News, Dr OTIONO said the indoor residual spraying exercise is expected to protect an additional 4 million people.

She said in 2023 over 894,266 structures were sprayed.
