LUNGU : PF ADMINISTRATION DESERVES ACCOLADES

By Hector Simfukwe-President Edgar Lungu has declared that his administration will continue to fulfil late President Michael Sata’s vision of taking development to the people.

The President says late President Michael Sata would not be disappointed because his vision to see better infrastructure in Zambia is now becoming a reality.

He says the PF administration deserves accolades for delivering to peoples’ expectations.

The Head of State says the various infrastructure projects being undertaken have helped to create more job opportunities for the people.

President Lungu says he is happy that the transformation agenda is being achieved through infrastructure development being put in place across the country.

The President said this when he commissioned the fly-over bridge at Arcades in Lusaka.

And President Lungu said it is through putting up infrastructure that investors will be able to reach all corners of the country.

He said investors do not want to invest in areas without key infrastructure such as roads.

The head of state said this is why government will continue building more schools, universities and hospitals among others.

President Lungu said he wants young people to contribute to the growth of the country, hence the decision to invest in various projects.

The President has since commended Zambian contractors for participating in the reconstruction of the country.

Meanwhile, President Lungu said those who are criticising government for borrowing are deliberately not explaining what the money is being used for.

He said the critics are shy to say that it is the same money that is being used to put up modern infrastructure which will in turn support key economic sectors.

And speaking at the same event, Local government Minister Charles Banda said the fly-over bridge at Munali roundabout will be commissioned in December.

Dr. Banda said some parts of the Lusaka Decongestion road project have been opened to allow the flow of traffic.

And Indian High Commissioner Zambia to Ngulkham Gangte said Zambia is a good example of a country on the move in Africa.

He said the country has made progress in the expansion of infrastructure.

Speaking at the same event, Mandevu Member of Parliament Jean Kapata and her Munali counterpart Nkandu Luo said the PF will continue delivering while others continue to keep on opposing.
