SALE MAIZE TO GOVT-CHIEF
By Agriper Silumbwe:Chief Mukutuma s of Lufwanyama District on the Copperbelt has encouraged small scale farmers to sale their Maize to government.The Traditional leader says this will allow government to have enough Maize in the strategic Food reserves.Chief Mukutuma says the move will help government to fight hunger in the country and have enough maize to distribute as relief food for those who will be in need.He says small scale farmers should exercise some patient and wait for government to start buying the maize from them.The Traditional leader said this when  Lufwanyama District Commissioner Miniver Mutesa visited his palace after she got reports that some local farmers have already started selling their maize fields to private buyers.And Lufwanyama District Commissioner Miniver Mutesa has hailed the traditional leader for coming out strongly to condemn the vice.
