Beston Plays Down Lack of International Friendlies
August 26, 2019August 26, 20194By Chansa Kunda-The Zambia Under -23 Men’s Football Team Coach Beston Chambeshi says lack of international friendly games will not affect the team’s performance ahead of next weekend’s AFCON qualifiers against Congo Brazaville.Chambeshi says his side will instead play one of the top Teams in the FAZ/MTN Super League as part of its preparations.He told ZNBC Sports in an interview that he is aware Under-23 Afcon qualifiers opponents Congo Brazaville played an international friendly over the weekend as part of drilling their squad for the National Heroes stadium September 4th encounter.Chambeshi also said he is happy with the response from the summoned players and as pointed out Forest Ranger Striker Conlyde Luchanga among the players who will be included in the final list.He said some of the newly called up players have delivered according to expectations and will add value to the team.Chambeshi further said all the foreign based players that will be part of the team will be in camp on Saturday.
