MIKE MULONGOTI DIES

People’s Party President Mike Mulongoti has died.
Mr. Mulongoti died from the University Teaching Hospital -UTH – in Lusaka on Thursday evening.
His Brother, Joshua Mulongoti and Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya have confirmed to ZNBC News in Lusaka.
Mr. Mulongoti said details of the funeral arrangement will be availed to the public later.
Meanwhile, Dr. Chilufya says Mr. Mulongoti was admitted to UTH since his return from South Africa.
Government evacuated Mr. Mulongoti to South Africa in January this year for Specialist treatment.
He served in various portfolios as Minister of Works and Supply, and Information and Broadcasting Services during the reign of the Movement for Multi-party Democracy -MMD – Government.
