2019 AFCON: Zanaco star Tafadzwa returns to Warriors fold

Sensational Zanaco midfield ace Tafadzwa Rusike has been named in the Zimbabwe National team provisional squad for the 2019 COSAFA and Africa Cup of Nations.

Rusike leads a trio of Zambia Super League stars that have made it to the Warriors squad. The other two are Dennis Dauda of Lusaka dynamos and Power dynamos powerful centre back Jimmy Dzingai.

Dauda and Dzingai are regulars for the Warriors while Rusike is making a return to the Zimbabwean National team after a 6 year absence having last featured for Zimbabwe in 2013 during a Worldcup qualifier against Guinea.

The Warriors Technical team who were represented by Lloyd Mtasa named 34 players in the provisional squad for the COSAFA and AFCON which will take place next month in South Africa and Egypt respectively.

The Warriors who are targeting surpassing their previous records at the tournament have also secured a high profile friendly match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria set for 8th June.
