When I saw the Front page of the Post Newspaper today I was like. Where did I see that title. LOL. OH!!! I have a book . I was not wrong it is a book written by Joseph Heller. In relation to today’s Post Newspaper I thought of doing this interactive post about Catch 22. Below are some of the ways in which CATCH 22 can be explained or rather defined are:
A dilemma or difficult circumstance from which there is no escape because of mutually conflicting or dependent conditions.
SOME EXAMPLES
1-A situation which will deal negative results no matter what choice is made. Gretel MK II give this example “If I leave, my parents are going to kill me, but if I don’t, my girlfriend will dump me. This is a real Catch-22.”

2-Last Grammarian notes that A catch-22 is commonly misperceived to be a situation wherein both options are seen to have negative consequences. That situation is actually called a double-edged sword. A catch-22, as in the examples above, is a situation wherein the solution to a problem is impossible given the very nature of the problem.

3-Also known as a vicious cycle – two or more conditions require the other conditions to be fulfilled, but these other conditions also require the original condition to be fulfilled. In simple terms, this means neither can get fulfilled without the other. A needs B needs A. So I need a key to open this door, and the key is beyond that same door? Damn, this is one big Catch 22. notes Fluid

4-To apply for a job, you need to have a few years of experience. But in order to gain experience, you need to get a job first.

5-Huntsman is the latest embodiment of the classic Catch-22 of partisan politics””the candidate most likely to win a general election has the hardest time winning the nomination-Daily Beast

6- But I feel like I’m in a Catch 22 situation. If I stop having sex with him, I’m throwing him back to her. If I do carry on, it’s like nothing has changed-The Sun LOL

7- However Reardensteel (blogging name) says:
No-win and chicken-egg situations are not the same as a Catch-22, strictly speaking. The fact that you need a chicken to get an egg, and an egg to get a chicken creates a logistical impasse, but it’s not a Catch-22. After all, if you could get your hands on either a chicken or an egg, everything would be fine. In a no-win situation, you’ll be screwed if you do A, and equally screwed in a different way if you do B. There’s not necessarily any causal relationship between A and B.
In a Catch-22, the one thing must cause or negate the other thing. I also think the regulatory aspect is important. So if the rules were changed, the situation would not exist.

So in short this is what maybe happening in UPND and it is exactly what has happened in the past few weeks when adopting candidates in all political parties.
I know things are not well in UPND however I should say pretending not to be in a crisis will be sad or is already because time has caught up with them. Challenges in politics are normal. But pretending things are fine just loses you people’s confidence.
PF has been very smart I think they want to do it first and watch drama as Hichilema and his running mate file in nomination papers. Yes it’s Friday the 3rd. Just hope takwakabe amakofi nangu inkonya(hope they won’t be punches) LOL.
