150 GOLFERS EXPECTED TO PARTCIPATE IN LUSAKA OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT

Over 150 Golfers are expected to take part in the Lusaka Open Golf Tournament scheduled for this weekend, with ZANACO putting in 3-thousand united states dollars.

Lusaka Golf Club Captain Nawa Mataa says the tournament will be the first major event this year following the outbreak of the Corona virus pandemic.

Mataa says the Zambia National Commercial -ZANACO -Bank are the headline sponsors for the two days competition.

And Speaking in Lusaka today, ZANACO Chief Commercial Officer, Lishala Situmbeko said that the bank will continue promoting and encouraging the golf development amidst the pandemic.

Situmbeko said the bank will always play an active role in ensuring the sport stays afloat

Meanwhile, Dominic Musonda from Nkana is the current Lusaka Open Golf Tournament defending Champion.

This is according to a statement released to ZNBC Sport by ZANACO Head Marketing & Communications, Mutinta Musokotwane- Chikopela.
