14 Church Choir Members Injured in Lusaka Road Traffic Accident

FOURTEEN (14) choir members from St Marks congregation in Chilenje were last night around 21:00 hours attended at UTH after they were involved in a road traffic accident along Lilayi road near Choppies area.UTH Public Relations Officer Natalie Mashikolo has confirmed this in a statement today.Mashikolo said a choir members were coming from a choir competition.She said the accident occurred when the minibus they were travelling in lost control as it tried to avoid a stationery car that was parked in the middle of the road.She said of the 14, one victim identified as Mervis Zulu aged 43 is admitted as she suffered a mild head injury while the rest of the victims were treated and later sent home.
