By ZANIS:The Ministry of General Education in Mansa District has begun the process of disinfecting schools before they open on June 1, 2020 for examination classes.Mansa District Commissioner James Nyenjele who was present at the spraying of schools by Mansa Municipal Council says government will ensure it gives maximum support to learners as schools open.Mr. Nyenjele says  the disinfection of schools is a Government directive that should be followed without fail.And Mansa District Education Board Secretary Severian Masesa disclosed  that a total of 120 Primary and Secondary schools in the district are going to be disinfected before the end of May.Mr Masesa said the DEBS office  has already made efforts to meet all the school headteachers in the district to adjust to the new normal.Meanwhile, Mansa Municipal Council Director for Housing, Public Health and Social Services Kasonde Musongole said the disinfecting of schools in the district will be completed within three days.Ms. Musongole said the programme has been scheduled for every two weeks to ensure that all the contact surfaces are well cleaned and disinfected.
