Monze Jack Mwiimbu

Monze Central UPND Member of Parliament Jack Mwiimbu has asked Government to clarify if pension funds have been diverted towards the purchase of campaign materials for the ruling party.

Raising on a point of order in Parliament on Tuesday Hon Mwiimbu wanted to know if it was in order for government not pay former government workers for so long.
He said many workers were last week camped at Ministry of Finance offices demanding that they be paid their dues and that the former workers alleged that their funds were being used to buy campaign materials for the PF.
“I stand to raise a very important point of order that affects the lives of so many Zambians who have worked for government and who expected to be paid by NAPSA, by the Public Pension Fund and which workers have not been paid to date.
“As of last week hordes of Zambian have been camping at the Ministry of Finance’s office claiming that they must be paid and they are alleging that their funds have been deverted  and those are the funds that are being used by the PF to fund their campaign and print books that they are distributing  and bicycles.

“Madam Speaker is the government in order through the Minister of Finance not to pay the former government workers and other workers who has toiled for this country for so many years, others have died they have left children who are now destitutes and the government is not caring,  is the government in order Madam Speaker not to look after the plight of the Zambians who have worked for this government for so long a time?” He said.
