Lungu “lifts his travel ban” flies to meet new SA president

President Edgar Lungu who had told the nation that he will stop flying around outside the country after recording over 50 foreign trips in three years beating former presidents including Kenneth Kaunda who ruled for 27 years, on Tuesday went to South Africa.

On his Facebook page, President Lungu wrote and posted this picture:

Earlier today, I met and held talks with President of the Republic of #SouthAfrica 🇿🇦 and the #SADC Chairman, His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa.

During our meeting, I congratulated Mr Ramaphosa for his election as #ANC President and President of the Republic of South Africa.

I wish to reaffirmed my government’s commitment in cooperating with South Africa in areas of trade and investment for the mutual benefit of our people.

I thank you.
