President Edgar Lungu has with immediate effect removed MMD faction leader Felix Mutati from the Ministry of Finance and shunted him to the Ministry of Works and Supply while bringing in Commerce Minister Margaret Mwanakatwe as his replacement.
And President Lungu has fired Minister of Water and Sanitation Lloyd Kaziya and replaced him with Minister of General Education Dennis Wanchinga.
Energy Minister David Mabumba becomes new Minister of General Education while Minister of Works and Supply Matthew Nkhuwa moves to the Ministry of Energy in the same capacity.
President Lungu has also moved Agriculture Minister Dora Siliya to the Ministry of Information in the same capacity replacing Kampamba Mulenga who is now Minister of Fisheries and Livestock.
Kampamba replaces Michael Katambo who is new Minister of Agriculture.
President Lungu has swapped Copperbelt Minister Bowman Lusambo with his Lusaka Province counterpart Japhen Mwakalombe whilst Western Province Minister Nathaniel Mubukwanu swaps with North-Western Province Minister Richard Kapita.
Meanwhile, the Head of State has appointed Patriotic Front (PF) Parliamentary Chief Whip Richard Musukwa as the new Minister of Mines and Minerals Development, taking over from Christopher Yaluma who becomes the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry. The PF Deputy Chief Whip Steven Chungu becomes the Chief Whip while Remember Chanda Mutale is the new Deputy Chief Whip.
