MCM Employees In 7.5% Payrise

Mopani Copper Mines has granted its workers a 7.5% pay rise as part of a 2018 wage agreement, averting a potential labor unrest at the country’s third largest copper and cobalt producer, Tumfweko understands.

What this entails is, Mopani will backdate this increment to January 2018.

A source tells Tumfweko that Miners Union of Zambia (MUZ) officials are tomorrow expected to attend a signing in ceremony at the company offices, Central offices in Kitwe.
