National Union of Public and Private Educators of Zambia (NUPPEZ) Executive Director Victor Muyumba says it is strange to see some teacher organizations being against the introduction of breathalyzers in schools.
Mr. Muyumba says there is need to support the Teaching Service Commission in its quest to curb drunkenness among teachers.
He says if some teacher organizations are against the introduction of breathalyzers in schools, it is a clear sign that there is drunkenness among teachers.
He says the introduction of breathalyzers will bring about responsibility among teachers.
Mr. Muyumba has however asked the Teaching Service Commission to do a research on the prevalence of drunkenness among teachers before investing in breathalyzers.
