Soccer icon Kalusha Bwalya says he has seen a “new spirit” in the new kings of Africa the Zambia Under-20.
According to a report in the Zambia Daily Mail of yesterday Bwalya said Zambia will leave a mark at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Korea if the players exhibit the same mentality that saw the Beston Chanbeshi lads emerge champions of the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
“I have loved the decisiveness I have seen with the boys. It’s a new spirit. A winning mentality they showed should continue,” the 1988 Africa’s finest said.
Zambia has been drawn in Group C of the Korea 2017 Under-20 World Cup alongside Portugal, Costa Rica and Iran.
The young Chipolopolo open the quest for global glory with a date against Portugal on May 21.
