“I have dissolved parliament & I am part of parliament but I am still president. I have not stopped being president despite parliament being dissolved; then why do you want ministers to leave office?” – President Lungu during press conference today.
Bwana president you got the mandate of being president from the people of Zambia through the ballot. You didn’t became president because of being part of parliament.
On the contrary, your ministers became ministers by virtue of being parliamentarians. Meaning their mandate was derived from parliament. Without being MPs they wouldn’t be Ministers.
Do you see the difference bwana Chagwa?
