Cholera Delays Re-opening Of South School

Zambia TeachersThe cholera outbreak in Southern Province has caused the delay of the re-opening of schools in Mazabuka and Monze districts.

An outbreak of cholera has hit Mazabuka where the medics have advised that the disease is not yet fully contained.

Ministry of general education spokesperson Hilary Chipango said the schools will have to wait for an update after one week before they could be advised on the status.

Some parts of the country have suffered sporadic cholera cases with Lusaka having initially been hardest hit but the situation has been arrested.
