Lusaka Mayor Daniel Chisenga has said talks with street vendors on identifying streets where they can trade from are progressing well.
Speaking in an interview with Qfm, Mr. Chisenga says the Patriotic Front government is determined to ensure that Zambians are engaged in income generating activities.
Mr. Chisenga says the council is currently working tirelessly in managing street vending in the city adding that a lasting solution will soon be found.
He has also urged vendors to corporate with the local authority in coming up with a lasting solution that will be acceptable by all parties involved.

this is the most useless city council in Africa. Street trading should be a thing of the past and you are encouring it. why can’t you build a multilevel market at COMESA and get every street vendor there rather than allowing street vending.
