The MMD says the son of former President Levy Mwanawasa, Patrick, has never been a member of the ruling party.
Patrick made headlines last week when he announced that he was resigning from the MMD to join the opposition PF.
Mwanawasa also announced that he will contest the forthcoming parliamentary election on the PF banner in Kafulafuta.
But MMD National Secretary Richard Kachingwe said Patrick is not in the MMD membership register. He said the party checked their data base and the name of Mwanawasa does not appear even in the old records.

zambian mentality has kept zambia in the hands of thieves and if zambians don’t change their way of thinking, political parties and recycled politicians will continue to take them for a ride, dont forget that they enjoy good healthcare and send their kids to good schools while the majoruty of working zambians cannot, I dont care what party patrick affiliates himself with, he has a right to do so, its just a shame that some people especially those from the eastern think that RB is state house material, he aint!

I am sorry to say that your wish will never come true.You canot have a complete new people to run the country!What changes is the system of running the affairs of the nation.So if you are waiting for change of personalities then am sorry you have to keep on waiting.In politics there is nothing like recycled politicians.It is a collective responsibility that matters first.A responsibility to inspire and serve the people as per their expectations.To me what counts most is the system.I will not call Masebo,Mutati or Mpombo as recycled politicians if they joined another party.To me they are still politicians and they remain politicians.
