Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane has refuted reports that China borrowed money from the government to invest in the country.
He said China has enough money that it is the biggest creditor to the United States of America and the world at large.
He said China is the only single country in the world that the USA owes money to.
He called on the people not to be biased by what they see today because the world is dynamic.
Meanwhile, Finance and National Planning minister Situmbeko Musokotwane has said Chinese investment is not the biggest in Zambia.
Speaking in an interview with Q fm, Mr. Musokotwane said there are other bigger investments like India which owns Konkola Copper mines on the Copperbelt.
Mr. Musokotwane also said China is one of the biggest emerging economic powers in the world and has found Zambia a good destination for investment.
Mr. Musokotwane said the strong action by Chinese to increase investment in Zambia has incited other countries to come in and invest in the country.
