Embracing growth in Zambia’s securities and exchange markets

EVERY market economic system is built on the premises that it will promote an efficient system of capital markets that will among a number of objectives; allocate resources, spur   innovation and economic growth.
Additionally, other than financing the private sector through the Securities and Stock Exchange, a number of countries face an inevitable need to finance government fiscal deficits, capital and recurrent expenditure needs.
Ironically, Zambia has mainly achieved this through both external and local sources, issuing external debt instruments and government securities on the local primary market through the Bank of Zambia (BoZ) .  Read more
