Harry Kalaba also blocked from speaking on radio

Former Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba was on Sunday blocked from featuring on a private radio station programme in Mpika, Muchinga province.

Kalaba who recently resigned from government citing corruption says he found the police had sealed off the place and that they were acting on instructions from Lusaka.

“Just disappointed that I could not be on Mpika FM because the police had instructions not to allow me space despite the radio station being a private one. They told me they had instructions from Lusaka not to allow me be on radio!
The police even followed me in church as I was praying here in mpika where I had come to see a relative in chilonga mission hospital .
This is the reason we need to believe again ! Zambia can do better than this! We are not what the politicians suggest we are.

Let us all rise and say no to cheap!

May God bless Zambia!” stated Kalaba in a statement posted on his Facebook page.

This comes two days after the police in Mansa fished NDC shadow leader Chishimba Kambwili out of a radio station where he was being interviewed on a paid up programme.

Kambwili said the police told him that he will not be allowed to feature on a radio programme in the province.
