AN investor of Asian origin has been released on police bond in Lusaka for allegedly defiling girls between the ages of nine to 13 years.
The suspect who heads one of Zambia’s IT leading company was alleged to have been targeting his victims at Woodlands Shopping Mall and accomplishing most of his activities at the company offices.
Some police officers at woodlands police told Sunday Times that the suspect would appear for questioning on Monday as he had pleaded to settle the matter outside police.
The source added that the suspect had been pleading with the parents of some victims to drop the case by not going to court.
“This is not the first time this man has been arrested here for defiling small girls, but I don’t know how he goes away with such cases,” added the source.
