PATRON of Marketeers and Vendors Chanda Kabwe has said former MMD president Nevers Mumba and UPND vice-president for Administration Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba are cursed for allegedly supporting schemes of violence that saw the displacement of people in Southern Province.
Mr Kabwe said it was sad that Dr Mumba, a pastor who was expected to preach peace and unity, had decided to take a political trajectory which was threatening to divide the country.
He said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday that it was sacrilegious for Dr Mumba to champion violence in a bid to help the UPND form government at all costs.
“What kind of a man of God is Dr Mumba who seemingly embraces evil schemes, a man who stands on the same platform with a group of people sowing seeds of discord in the country that has known nothing but peace? A clergyman who supports evil things for selfish political reasons is dangerous,” Mr Kabwe said.
He said Dr Mumba and Mr Mwamba should know where they came from and that one day they would need the same people who they had made victims of violence following the re-election of President Edgar Lungu.
He said Mr Mwamba should reflect on his insults to the Bemba chiefs and should know that Mr Hichilema and the UPND would soon chase him (GBM) from the party.
“Dr Mumba and GBM have lost the favour they once enjoyed from Zambians. When salt loses its flavour, it becomes useless. For insulting the Bemba chiefs, Mr Mwamba should reflect seriously.
